I am a mother of two grown up children with qualifications starting from 1998.

My experience (apart from clumsy children) is from within the sport and leisure industry, having qualified as a trampolining and swimming coach while my children grew up. I then progressed to teaching & training lifeguards within the industry, assessing at various different sites around the country.

As my children grew up and needed me less I was able to expand my qualifications and knowledge to first aid within the work place. I continue to train lifeguards and now enjoy visiting many other companies and different industries, sharing the knowledge that I have gained.

It is important to me that I stay up to date with guidelines laid down by The Resuscitation Council and that I gain experience in other medical conditions, working with special needs children along with my pet therapy dog it gives me a chance to be hands on in the topics that I teach. Apart from my formal qualifications in teaching & assessing it is import that I stay up to date, having completed various qualifications/CPD in allergy awareness & food safety along with child protection courses. By achieving this throughout the year and staying constantly up to date, I can bring a new dimension & level of knowledge to the class room and teaching first aid.

I aim to make the first aid courses filled with variety, engaging and interesting, but above all relevant to the industry that the delegate is working in, weather be it in a leisure or education setting or within a factory or office-based workplace.
